Dustin Kovacvich - Head Guide and Lodge Manager

Dustin is a well-rounded fisherman experienced in freshwater, saltwater, and estuary salmon and trout fishing with all methods of gear, equipment, and tackle. Dustin has exceptional skills in guiding steelhead, and salmon fly fishermen.

Qualifications:

• 24 years fishing 16 years fly fishing 14 years fly tying
• 4 years Commercial fly tying and custom multi-tip sink tip manufacture and design
• 8 years doing reconnaissance and engineering work for forestry on the rugged North Coast of BC
• Hosted a local outdoor show
• A lifetime of experience as an outdoorsman hunting, camping, backpacking, running rivers, and exploring the Fjords of Northwestern BC

Greg Buck

Greg is a conventional fishing master being highly experienced in float fishing, back trolling, spoon fishing, jig fishing, plunking, bottom bouncing, and is also a very competent fly fisherman. Greg is especially good at targeting trophy Chinook, Tributary Coho, float fishing for Steelhead, and plunking on the Skeena.

Qualifications:

• 26 years fishing the Skeena Region
• Expert fly and jig tier
• Expert drift boat and Jet boat operator

Sky Richard

Sky is one of the most dedicated and skilful fly fisherman you will ever encounter. He is extremely talented at helping his guests rise steelhead to the dry fly, and fly fishing the Skeena River and tributaries for all five species of salmon, steelhead and trout. Sky is also an excellent spoon, and jig fisherman.

Qualifications:

• 20 years fishing the Skeena Region (grew up on the banks of the Skeena River)
• Imaginative fly designer and tier
• Experienced and very fit outdoorsman

Andrew Blix

Andrew has a lifetime of experience working and recreating in the outdoors of Northwestern British Columbia. He is an accomplished fly and conventional fisherman and has extensive experience running and fishing the remote coastal rivers and areas many fjords. He is also the owner/operator of a small Forestry and Outdoor Recreation Consulting firm. Andrew brings a wide range of knowledge regarding the Skeena Regions plants, animals, and geography.

Qualifications:

• 35 years of recreating and working in Northwestern BC
• Highly experienced fly and conventional angler
• Vast amounts of experience in BC's remote northcoast waters

Jeff Langley

Jeff is a long time resident of Terrace and a highly skilled fly fishing and conventional fishing angler.  His calm, pleasant nature, attention to detail, and an intimate knowledge of the ecology of northwest BC - which of course include many remote pools and rivers that hold Steelhead and Salmon - make him a great asset to Nicholas Dean Lodge.

Cameron Theissen

Cam is a locally raised avid fisherman. He is a superb fly and conventional fishing guide. He is especially good at fishing the Salmon and Steelhead runs on the lower Skeena River and it’s many tributaries. He has a very good natured personality and everyone always has a great day out on the water with Cam.
